Located in Eastern Ontario near Ottawa Below
are some recent pictures of my pick puppies. I am finally now working on the third generation. It
isn’t the speed of which the generations are bred, but the time,
energy, dedication and love that are put into building strong, healthy
memorable lines.. |

Welcome to Extreme
Aussies - Australian Shepherds & Miniature Australian Shepherds available
for herding, sporting, conformation and companionship. What is Extreme about
them? Everything! I am devoted to producing Aussie's of superior quality
& health with utmost care to follow the breed standard. My dogs are
functional for working & sporting, but also as a family companion. They
work if you want them to, and lie at your feet the rest of the time! If you
are looking for a versatile enthusiastic little dog with that classic
‘off-switch’, you are in the right place! |

Extreme Aussies is
located approximately 45 minutes South of Ottawa Ontario, in the South Dundas region. The dogs have loads of room to run and
play, and are highly muscular and fit! There are lots of animals here to keep the
dogs entertained including alpacas, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs, cats, and
birds. As you may guess, I have loved animals since as far back as I can
remember, and I carried that love all the way through school as I majored in
biology. I began into breeding only after I had been involved with herding
breeds for several years and I have a keen interest in genetics and pedigree
analysis. This breeding program gives me the opportunity to do what I love to
do, build a strong lineage for the Aussie, and produce wonderful healthy dogs
to enjoy. |

I have a lot of fun with
my dogs, not only are they my pets, friends and lap warmers, but we compete
in flyball, agility, and disc, and we are
also involved in therapy work and herding when we can… When my little
mini Aussie Envy came into my life I became hooked on Aussies. I am strongly
convinced that the survival of the Aussie require breeders that are dedicated
in preserving the work ethic, bidability,
trainability and focus that the Aussie is known and loved for. The foundation
dogs I selected to start my lines are from champion show lines to maintain
proper conformation, and awesome working lines to maintain great temperament,
health and ‘off switch’. It is my goal to produce versatile
Australian Shepherds and Miniature Australian Shepherds that can work and
play full out, but settle down when in the home. |

It is my intension to better the breed with every cross I
do, and therefore I only breed a female once or twice before she is placed in
a loving pet home. I don’t breed my girls over and over but select a
new puppy from the crosses I do to work on and improve the lineage. I am
extremely proud of the lineage I have created with Extreme Aussies. All of my
Aussies have been eye, hip, MDR1, herding
instinct tested, have had their pedigrees analyzed and are at
least 2 years of age before breeding. We are in the process
of DNA profiling all of our ASCA registered dogs (there is currently no DNA
program with MASCA), and getting PRCD & HC analysis. I breed minimal
litters with the focus on quality and health, not quantity. Check out the
‘About Us’
page for more info on our program, the ‘Our Dogs’ page to
learn more about our fur family, and the ‘Litters’ page to
see when puppies are expected! |
